Thanks for Picking Up a Wyrdstone
Welcome to Druid Holds.
We’re stoked you’re holding a Wyrdstone in your hands — thanks for supporting a small Australian maker. Every piece is hand-finished by me (Ben), with a lot of care. You're not just buying a training tool; you're joining a growing community of climbers who believe in crafting their strength with intention.

Suggested Training Session
The Wyrdstone isn’t just a tool — it’s a ritual. A small act repeated with focus can unlock strength over time. Here’s a session to get you started:
Phase 1: Warm-Up & Activation
- Start by easing into the session:
Loop the cord around your foot and take the most comfortable edge (flat or rounded). - With a straight arm, apply gentle tension by pushing down with your foot and pulling slightly with your fingers.
- Curl your fingers into the edge slowly — not full effort, just enough to engage the muscles.
- Repeat 5-10 times per hand.
- Maintain a steady grip while pulsing your foot to add and release resistance.
- Focus on control and connection between your hand and shoulder.
- Do 3-5 holds per hand, around 5–8 seconds each.
Phase 2: Max Effort Hangs or Lifts
Now that you’re warm, it’s time to push:- Set up your Wyrdstone for max effort pulls using one of the following:
- With weights as a lifting block (clip them to the cord)
- With a Tindeq or force gauge
- Or simply with foot resistance, pressing down hard
- Your goal:
→ 10 seconds of full effort – where you’re trying as hard as you can without form breaking down. - Rest 1-2 minutes between efforts
- Repeat 3–5 times per hand
This is where strength is built — slowly, consistently, and with intention.

Record Yourself Climbing
Don’t forget — your Wyrdstone doubles as a phone stand.
Set it up to record your climbing sessions. Watching yourself climb is like gaining a second set of eyes — you’ll catch things you didn’t feel in the moment:
- Notice the small mistakes that hold you back
- Revisit the send that felt easy and understand why
- Track your progress over time, one go at a time
Use your footage to learn, adapt, and keep shaping your fate.
