Druid Holds
Taranis — Contact Strength Ball
Taranis — Contact Strength Ball

300mm. Hollow birch ply. Hang it from anything with a carabiner. Grip it.
Contact strength — the ability to generate force the instant your hand meets a surface — is one of the least-trained qualities in climbing. Most training tools let you set your grip before loading. The Taranis doesn't. The sphere gives you nothing to orient to, nothing to hook a finger into. Just surface, and whatever strength you bring to it.
Dead hangs. One-arm work. Rotational loading. Offset grips. The ball opens up training angles that a hangboard can't touch.
Hollow construction keeps it light without sacrificing structural integrity. The Druid knot is laser-etched at the pole. The cord runs through the centre — clip a carabiner, hang it from a beam, a system wall, a pull-up bar, a doorframe. It goes anywhere.
$280 AUD inc. GST. Climbing-grade cord included.
